With the aging of so many baby boomers, there will be a need for physical therapists, registered nurses, biomedical equipment technicians, and physician assistants. Many of those with extensive familiarity with computer systems will be able to move into hospital professions after only a two-year associate’s degree. Physician’s assistants need two or three years of postgraduate education, but can then do 80% of what actual physicians do, with salaries reaching six figures. So if you are considering a move into a new career, remember that with a large aging population right now, America needs health professionals more than ever!
