The latest research by Forbes.com has stated that Raleigh, N.C. is a top spot for business careers today. Today’s economy has left many communities scrambling for work, but in Raleigh, there is no sign of this. Apparently, job growth is still strong in Raleigh, and business costs are staying low. The workforce is highly educated, and the economy, as a result, is strong.
2009 did bring a slight fall in employment figures in Raleigh, but projections suggest that this year and next will see growth again. A three-year projected annual gain is 1.4%, not bad in this age of falling employment rates and joblessness. Of course, much of Raleigh’s business strength comes from Research Triangle Park, where a great deal of scientific research is done. It is the home of 170 different companies, which, together, employ over 4,000 workers. If you are a college graduate in America today, there is no reason you shouldn’t simply move to Raleigh and begin trying your luck to establish your business career in this strong, and seemingly immune-to-damage, economy.
